Where you will find us on Bank Holiday Monday the 17 April 2017
After the good day we had yesterday on Rottendean seafront, as I was walking to and from the beach I realized I was so tired since I have yet to get my bus pass from the council. I am registered disabled, due to some very severer heart attacks 8 years ago and to date I have had 3 in all 10 operations and 6 stent's which sets of alarms in airports lol.
It has been a difficult time for me, I lost my confidence over the Yule period and was very down, I can't put my finger on what was going on with me but I could not face going out and just vegetated all my time away, just happy walking Obi and not having contact with anyone but yesterday really did put me on track again so for the Summer I will be going to the Rottendean seafront every Friday and Saturday and I will choose an area around Sussex to set up the table on a Thursday. How to find us in Rottendean well you can get the 2, 12. 27 get off at Rottendean on the side of the Tesco metro and cross over to the White horse pub, and you find us on the slope to the beach. |
We are on the go and getting out to the people at last.
To say I was nervous, would be an understatement, it felt like its been a long time in coming but I persevered and pushed my own limitations aside today with the Cause.
After walking 2 miles to Rottendean and back my whole body hurts but in a good way I achieved and faced a barrier I myself put up during Christmas, feeling I had nothing to give well today I feel I am on the wagon once again. For 30 minutes I stood looking like a spare part as some wedding, I took a deep breath and well started to make eye contact with people who looked at me and just talked, before long there was a small crowd around me listening to what I was saying, why Oberon is so important to me, some clapped, a few cried and some stayed on longer to talk and offer support. Before long some people would come back and chat privately and tell me some of their story's as well and how they came to lose there best friend, telling me I was brave to stand there and just talk, I was moved by some, laughed with others and shared private tears with others. We made £11 now I only need £4 to get the poo bags I will have them by the next weekend and the folding display well that still a bit off but I was right about the bags I was asked 3 times if I had any going as some guy blamed his wife for walking off with the poo bags and a little boy well he just forgot to grab some. As tired as I feel right now I also feel elated and a new feeling of purpose, one lady called Mandy said she was going to come back tomorrow to see me again and buy some seeds and bells, she is thinking of having a rescue I told her to get a TT cause they are the best dogs in the world. We even saw horses I just had to stop for a while, dragging my trolley and table home, tomorrow I am most defiantly getting a bus home, screw walking! |

Getting ready to take the table out again at last |
It’s or feels like it has been a long winter for both myself and to a degree Oberon as well, he is as boisterous as ever, with a tinge of pure love and cheekiness to it all as well, for this I am happy.
We plan to spend Saturday on the Rottendean beach front with our table and posters and banner, we will have seeds and some cards for sale, the cards are for Brighton landmarks but there will be lots of tourists along the seafront there always is.
I have plan’s and goals to achieve over the course of the bank holiday weekend that is to get a bit more professional and to be able to fund some stuff that I need done over the next few months.
I want to get a new sign board and have found one on Amazon for £70 and selling doggy poo bags they cost £16 for 60 rolls and sell them on for 50p a throw, remember if your caught without a poo bag by the police or council you can be charged £100 fine which is horrible but we have all been without a bag at some time if we are truthful with our self’s.
getting a good letter writer so I can send emails to every letting agency in Brighton about asking their clients to instead of a no dog policy to assess a dog instead, this I feel is the way ahead in a society based on Money and certification we now live in.
In a way this might be a good idea, and maybe it will encourage more to have their companions, trained in some good behavior and obedience, and have it certified as a legal document, I have met far too many, disobedience and hyper companions that would only bring down the good dogs that deserve better.
The story so far.
Well it has been a while since I put finger to keyboard and updated the site so here we go!
We have our forever home we moved in to our little flat on the 21st of July 2016, I remember the day I found out we were offered the flat I had lost my glasses and could not read the letter from the council so I had to ask a friend Kira to read it to me.
As she read the letter and the offer, I fell to my knees and cried my heart out, our journey was finally coming to an end and the prospect of a new life beckoned to us, Obi could see how happy I was and joined in with lots of licks, kisses and woofs.
The www.gofundme.com/bqf8u4 Money I would say has been stolen by the bank Stripe who hold the funds for GFM, sent the money to an old bank account and for some reason Lloyd's has no record of this and yet I have serial numbers for every penny that was deposited, I get the money in the end but it makes me doing the campaign a lot more difficult the money was to help me get on my feet but till the money comes I am reduced to walking and doing it school of hard knocks style.
The winter has been a very difficult time for me, the cost of heating the flat has been very difficult and I have relied upon using hot water bottles to keep me warm, and in the end I had to move my bedroom to the front room as the front room has all the light my bedroom is always in shade, and yet there is a street light no more than 20ft from my bedroom window and illuminates the garden at night which is actually quite nice to watch I see cats, foxes and hedgehogs going about there business.
The weather is changing now its 26th of March and the sun is starting to stay longer and I feel that I will be able to get the table out again, but I am going to give Brighton a miss and campaign on Rottendean seafront there are a lot of dogs lots of people who are all locals, and I have a few idea's on how to generate some funds for Ink, paper and another new banner.
Please if you can donate to the GoFundMe all the details are now upto date and I want to get a new banner to join the one I already have or if you want please send a picture of your fur baby so That I can add it to a new home made poster, the one I used a lot over last year is now getting very tatty and its falling apart.
I have found that I can make banners using a plastic sheet that act's like cardboard but much more endurable and strong and folds not only flat but will not get frayed like cardboard does and can be hung up with out ripping, this all cost money which to be truthful with you I cannot afford hence why I am asking for a small donation in all it will get the cause out to the people who stop talk and ask questions when they see the banners posters and the table with cards, bells, seeds and poo bags for small donations.
Please share and tell your friends about us, remember this I won my battle to keep my fur baby with me, so many don't and this has made me feel empowers and more determined to make sure no one ever loses there companion.
We finally have a date on the telly whoop whoop.
Well we have our date on the telly coming up please tune into BBC1 8pm on the 20 October 2016 and you will not only see me with green hair but you will see the loveable and playful Oberon aka Obi.
We had such a great day then and for months I been on tenterhooks waiting for the email from the Garden who are the company working for the BBC. And I finally know what I will do with the money on go fund me I will get an electric bicycle, as finding work with a constant canine companion is proving very difficult I want to get back on my feet, and get well again give up smoking and give up hating myself and love life for however long it lasts. Please keep up your support very soon I be asking you all to take part in a way I hope you will like and we will I promise wake up the sleeping people in this country. |

The story so far and the start of the journey from our view
This is the first part of many to come I will only do a bit at a time and try to keep it as simple as possible and to the point. What you are about to read is dark, but to enjoy the good things in life we have to know the depths of despair to cherish the wisdom of life. Please share and ask questions give constructive comments. Al n Obi xxx February 2015 will stay with me for a number of reasons, it's when the journey began, I will not say made homeless to me it has a very dark and negative tones, the journey begins is more appropriate because that is what it was. When I was on the streets for the first 5 days Oberon was not with me at night, I didn't want him to suffer nor not feel a soft warm bed for him to stretch out on, this was my feeling of what he would have wanted. I was wrong of course as we can only guess what our dog wants in life, I never expected he only ever wanted me, warts and all, skin and bone and the soul that is me It's started when Obi was staying with friends the most prominent was my dear friend and dance teacher Carola who took Obi for 3 nights, as I desperately tried to find us both a home, the council said I have to dump the dog, those Broke my heart on the spot. I didn't know what to say I blurted out he my nurse and walked of dejected, I was given an appointment 18th March 2015 it was 16th of Feb the weather was rain, wind and cold. I was near to ending it all, I went to Asda bought a bottle of vodka and drank it preferring to be out of my head for what I had planned, which in hindsight was very foolish, stupid but I could not see an end to it all. I been without Obi for 5 days, he was playing up I could not see his worry or hurt, I just blocked everything out feelings, emotions preferring to think he be better off without me, I was so wrong I could not look him in the eyes after the 5th night so I planned or challenged God by walking along the edge of the under cliff eyes tight closed step after step, the rain beating me, I didn't care my tears were just as bad eyes stinging. I walked for maybe 5 minutes, I felt a presence a feeling of unconditional love that stopped me on my tracks I opened my eyes a slop was about a foot in front of me that would took me to my death. The feeling was with me like a child crying saying stop stop over and over, I was sober I dragged myself over the fence pulled my blankets around myself and feel asleep, I was woken by my phone it was my dear friend Carola who said you have to come and get Obi he going mental not settling and barking constantly, I went and collected him he was so different sad, angry and scared to let me out of his sight. I realised then the voice I heard was his on the cliff top pulling me back from the brink of destruction, it was then I seriously started to attempt to communicate with him, searching for as much information as I could. This was the 1st time I had direct communication with Oberon and it would not be the last, as what I learned was the foundation of my understanding of how we as companions talk. |
Been a while since I last updated but here is the story so far.
Well we now have our forever home and the CCC is still going strong, we are still waiting for the date of the Documentary with Ann Robinson and the BBC1 team, fingers crossed it will be an Autumn showing, and on my birthday or Oberon's mine the 22nd September his 13th October maybe we can do a sweep stake of who get's the nearest date?
I have started to write the novel of how we survived the last 19 months without a home on our facebook page Constant canine companions please join us there for full daily updates, I will soon be taking the CCC to the next level of research and possibly a little bit of danger as we tackle what would be classed as a norm now and yet it's full of heartbreak for those that it happens too, namely dogs tied outside supermarkets, shops and government buildings. Please pop over to FACEBOOK and catch the story, I will publish it here eventually but facebook is the home of where it is all happening and we hope you join us. Much love and light Al n Obi xxx |
The way ahead is now clear
The road ahead is clear I know what I am asking for, not just assessments for dogs and cats but a whole new understanding and the state of the nation and our attitude towards what are deemed wrongly as pets are in fact Companions being held back by buracratic money men not thinking of the greater good.
All along I have tiresley said assessments for dog and cats for temp accomodation this is no longer enough, we have a serious problem in the way we treat animals, namely dogs.
All along I have tiresley said assessments for dogs and cats for temp accomodation this is no longer enough, we have a serious problem in the way we treat animals, namely dogs.
On average we spend hundreds of Millions on anti depressants in this country, why can't we offer a new alternative to these damaging tables and offer a solution from Mother nature, a dog that can help combat Depression, no one should ever be alone and a dog or cats, is the solution to this.
Also its a new approach to dealing with a problem that hits so many of the UK population each year, I am not saying everyone should just that if people wanted to they should be encouraged to at least try it.
The way ahead is now clear so what we waiting for?

On the 31st of March the homeless support unit at Brighton City council will be closed for good.
A source I have inside the council said this was not debated nor given a fair hearing, and my contact said this is really grim not only will there be a loss of two jobs but also the homeless will have no support in finding accommodation and also no help with benefits.
I need people to help organize a protest I have some friends from Sussex University coming to help and raise awareness, my contact also told me that the Argus newspaper in Brighton was told of their motives and is keeping this, so why is the media not reporting this, it affects everyone who is faced with homelessness where is the protection we are all entitled too?
Did you know that Brighton has had over 50 deaths of the homeless in the past 3 years? I have friends on the street, who can name at least 30 of them by first and second name humans some with dogs as well.
Truly is this the world you want to live for?
Kill the homeless that what it amounts to... Are you angry yet I am, AND I WANT TO FIGHT THEM.
Please share this has to get out there before it’s too late if it’s not already.

Adapt or die...
As each day passes, funds are like a rollercoaster they go up or down, the trend at the moment it is down nearly £20 Monday was a no show, it rained so much and to think one of the regular homeless guys Tim he called got beaten and stabbed as he slept in a door way on the Sunday Morning, I pray he pulls through.
Mondays are always slow, but I been in talks with an old supporter called Edward Fitzgerald, he makes post cards for a living and sells on to me for 50p each and I charge only £1 per card RRP is between £2.50 - £3 a go, and they are nice good quality prints. I just made a display for the cards as a standalone.
I have also just made one Notice board with all the usual pictures on it, it be nice to add another board but I don’t have Ink in my printer now I tried to do some early on, but I can get ink soon I found I can get a good one for £11 from Amazon so as soon as the funds come in, its second on my hit list.
First is the bands with new writing same Logo I love the CCC logo best ever I’d say thank you to the creator you know who you are xx.
There was not much to see today there was filming going on and not only did people run to watch them, rather than stand and talk to me, well its not every day you might see yourself on telly. The weather was bitterly cold in the shade, I think I need to move myself over to where I was Brushing Obi at least during the dinner time to get the sun when it decides to come out and into the arches when its miserable from now on, it’s part of the Adapt or die attitude I am impressing on myself at the moment.
In the next day or two I will announce the day I will be in Canterbury with the CCC if you stay here I love to meet you talk say some poem’s and have a very meaning full chat...

This is an old article from the Guardian just shorter but you get the general Idea of what its all about its about Dogs of a perticular breed that is being massively abused by horrible people, and to think these people are on the increase makes me sick, the allure of easy money too much for some.
Ms Aubrey-Ward, 44, She soon found herself at odds with what she described as its ‘antiquated military-style’ regime which placed ‘prosecution and persecution’ of owners ahead of protection of their pets. Ms Aubrey-Ward went on: ‘The RSPCA’s image was that they care for animals, prevent cruelty and help and advise people with animals. I was horrified when I learned we were going to have to put down healthy animals because we didn’t have room for them Early in her training, Ms Aubrey-Ward says, she saw a young rottweiler put into an RSPCA van for a check-up. ‘The dog, which was surely frightened, growled at the inspector with me. The other inspector said, “That’s it – this is an aggressive dog.” It was put down soon afterwards.’ she rescued a heavily pregnant ‘staffie’ bitch from a cruel owner, along with an aggressive male dog. ‘With some TLC in a nice kennels, and someone to work on her behaviour, she would have been OK. The dog warden and I tried hard to find a space for her but we couldn’t,’ she said. ‘The warden took the dogs to RSPCA Hillingdon, where a vet said they should be put to sleep if nowhere could be found for them, and they were killed round the back. The dog warden noosed them and I shot them. Every day I find an excuse to go one and fight harder, this way of dealing with animals all animals has to stop, or we are no less responsible than the thugs that make money from it. |
The butterfly Effect.
https://www.gofundme.com/bqf8u4
Hello my friends and Supporters, I want to tell you of a conversation I have had with Oberon and feel it's important to tell you, those of us that have a special connection to our fur babies know what I mean.
If anything I have learned over the last year, I have learned how to talk to Oberon I can pick up his thoughts and I listen to him, keeping us from danger and looking after my health as well.
Now you all know plan to do something special that Includes you lot of butterflies I was going to sing but found what would have more impact was a poem... Dont switch off just yet you angels I have poured my heart into this not as a thank you but as a reminder to all of the power of our four legged companions.

Sitting watching people walk on by invisible suffering, I’m just a dog a dog called Oberon, just a dumb dog people say but; I dream of butterflies flying high in the sky violet, blue and yellow too I tell them all the things I've been through
Life upside down our home was gone, I’m only a dog a dog called Oberon. Sitting by a window looking in, diners dine so sublime, like a ghost I’m invisible, suffering silent, can anyone hear us?
Like silent crosses litter the beach, I’m confused how did I get here? I dream of butterflies flying high in the sky violet, blue and yellow too I’m a friend, I'm family, a nurse it's true A companion, salvation but just for you... I’m only a dog, a dog called Oberon.
Pounding heart’s can you hear mine, like bouncing rain on an empty street echo’s solemnly as if lost in time, I’m just a dog a dog called Oberon
I dream of Butterflies flying high in the sky, green, purple and yellow too, my son my love I only ever thought of you, alone with friends watching from afar high on the cliffs a drop too far.
Joy of joys my boy is back, a flimsy cover to protect our backs, lashing wind and torrents of rain, batter us I feel so much pain, coughing and spluttering, this is just insane, I’m only a dog a dog called Oberon.
I dream of Butterflies flying high in the sky ultra violet and infer red too, I’ll keep your bones warm daddy because know just what to do, and keeping you safe from goodness knows who
.
I’m just a dog a dog called Oberon, and I dream of Butterflies Gus, Hobnob, Mr Bond and Miss Moneypenny too, and all the heroes 4 love yes I know you all too.
The 17th of March was the day the butterflies spoke to tell me that my daddy will soon have some hope, two days later a call from the blue to tell us, there a place for me too.
I’m only a dog a dog called Oberon I dream of Butterflies flying high in the sky, in the colours of Black, white and brown and gold too.
Time rolls by, we watch a neon light casting its shadow in the night, people mill but cannot see us, we muse from day to night something is not right, and our hotel gave us such a fright.
And I’m only a dog a dog called Oberon I chase butterflies one lands on my nose, fluttering wings of silver and gold, whisper too me the journey begins a paw print with 3Cs
The cliffs so high like walking on air, I look at my daddy who smiles at me softly says we are free, I talk of a wisdom untold he looks bewildered what did you say?
And I’m only a dog a dog called Oberon I dream of Butterflies, flying so high in the sky; across the pond watching with delight their spirits have given us hope, and the will to fight for our rights.
The butterfly so large its wings beat the sea over land and town and city’s as far as I can see, a wind of change like the beating of a heart from just a dog a dog called Oberon.
I dream of Butterflies so high in the sky spreading out from our beautiful Isle of Albion and across the sea to the new world for you and me.
I am the butterfly I swore to protect from money material that has no respect I am just a dog the finest example to man, if only he listened he would be just fine.

Well what I have found out about Microchipping your dog, is now going to become law on the 6th of April 2016, and about time too, but this will not exempt your dog from temp accommodation on the contrary it just means vet and the people that make the chips make lots of dosh but it fall flat if you're faced with homelessness.
It's like every opportunity to take money from you but giving you not enough safety that is why it's important to travel the length and breadth of the country people do need to know there animal is not covered by the Act 2000 memo.
I have contacted over 60 councils now and only one council will try to rehome pets but it's slim at best I was told by a lady in London, and she agreed that more should be done.
So on the 15th of February I will be doing a poem in honor of all the souls that have helped me and Obi, this will be our mark for the start of the Journey and will not end till the 1st of December 2016 with a march to London to protest and launch the E- Petition.
As I have said this will be the choice of the people over government, they don't listen but if millions of voices shout loud enough they have to listen right?
Please share our site with your friends and get on Board there is work to be done, in the near time I need your help, I am aiming to get a Reliant Robin 3 wheeled car yes my American friends a 3 wheeled car lol.
I have a GoFundMe campaign going on at the moment and if you can even just the price of a coffee means I will be able to have transport from place to place and if you want to book me for a function or doggy meet up and only a text or phone call away, or email me at [email protected] keep the dot out its to stop bot's from spamming me. if you like to talk to me send an email to the addy given.
Thank you for your continued support with you, we would have been so lost and alone.
We love you all xxxx Al n Obi xx

Hello my name is Alan and this is Oberon, he is my helper, and we go everywhere together, he is my Constant Canine Companion, and we now look after each other my health his rights...Well rights for a lot of dogs not only like Obi but some even smarter, and the old Accepted rules dating back to the 50s remember that one do you?
It wasn’t that long ago this was common thank god we more enlightened now, but yet can we truly say we have learned from past experience when there is still one very wrong thing with this advert from 40-50s ENGLAND.
Micro chipped companions nearly a third of owners (29%) will lose their dog at least once during its life time.
When dogs do go missing, close to two thirds (64 per cent) of owners don't know whose responsibility it is to care for missing strays with nearly half (46 per cent) saying they would get in touch with a family member or neighbour, rather than call the local council.
Once the dog is in local authority care it is only seven days before their pet can be transferred to a new owner or they are put to sleep if a new home cannot be found.
After 6 April 2016 owners of dogs in England that come to the attention of the police or local authorities will be scanned. Those found without a microchip will have the benefits explained to them and be given a short period to comply. If they fail to chip their dog, owners will face a fine of up to £500.
The Dog's Trust found that 7,085 dogs were destroyed by councils in 2013 we live in a more polite society now; separating animals from families should be seen as an attack on the family already in crisis. Help save space for other dogs that need it, over 120.000 pets, companions were lost or stolen in the UK in 2004.
Chipping must be compulsory, and a database of dogs that have been trained in Obedience to be except from unfair housing discrimination, the needs of the family and companion must come first.
December 2016 is when we tell parliament that change has to come, more robust sentences for people who murder, torture and torment dogs, cats and other pets.
And all dogs should be assessed when its family is in crisis for moving into temporary accommodation. That’s all it takes any dog trainer can do it... a dog and a cat are family. As much as we hold it sacred so should the laws of this land.
So December 1st 2016 the partition will go live, and with everyone behind me our voice will be strong enough to make them listen to the people for a change and listen to the voice of the people.

I am waiting for a rainy day.
Well that’s all that seems to be what the heavens offer us on the Constant CC table, ever since before Yule and the New Year all we get is damp, wet and very windy days, only here it feels in Brighton. I feel over the bug now, I spent the past 5 or so days in a daydream in our little room at the back of the Royal Promenade Hotel on Brighton’s fashionable east Kemptown area knowing as the gay capital of the UK. And when we do get our forever home I will miss it here, it’s a bit of a buzz just walking along the seafront meeting all the Kemptown pugs Chihuahua’s, and its friendly big boys Mastiffs and bulls all very loving and happy dogs. Obi loves Bonny a giant mastiff her companion an old guy who has such a loving control over her, and feeds her now a raw diet now after one of our conversations last week. Last night during our walk we talked about the guy how got killed by his own dog, and we were both of the same mind that the dog was ether fed drugs or was so badly treated it retaliated in the only way it had known to protect. I have been searching for more information of this incident so there would be no speculation but only the truth of what had happened in that house where it all happened. Whenever there is a story of a dog that kills and maims another human or dog, most of the populace is quick to judge the animal as bad, but this is not true a dog only learns what we choose to teach it if you teach a dog aggression you will get exactly that, you teach a dog love, and since a dog loves unconditionally it learns much faster that feeling and all its emotions. I am not saying that there are no bad dogs of course there are, like humans can be good or bad, but there is a lot more bad humans than there ever will be dogs. We at the Constant Canine Companions will never judge or Label a dog without any facts, and at the end of the day, we have to accept a part responsibility, and for this we have to do something to stop this from happening. The CCC will be pushing for the closure of all puppy farms; we will raid those to get data to be used in getting them closed down once and for all (If you know of a PF IM me please with details). All data used will be used to push forward the partition that will be coming in December 2016. I be looking for helpers and movers for this effort, when I do submit the partition I want the whole country to vote, and to kick it off the Queen will be getting a letter from the CCC to ask her a question. Your funds has been a god send and I thank you whole heartedly, without you all I would not be doing this and hope you do continue to support us as we start this year. Its truly you who keeps me going I would say Us but Obi has no worries, with a fan base like his I am truly the lucky one. If you can help please go to GoFundMe or paypal [email protected] together we will not only change the law but we will change it for the better of all, giving our dogs and cats the place they deserve safety for life. |
Happy New Year from the CCC.
The New Year is finally upon us, and we are gathering strength, the past 5 days have been health wise hellish, i have deliberately, keeping myself not only bed bound but when I do go out to take Obi for his walks I look like the Michelin man.
The good will and donations and Christmas has not only lifted our spirits but have renewed my strength to keep on going and most importantly the time I have used up keeping the bugs at bay has given me the space to think, plan and assimilate all the information I have gathered so far.
Of all the local Councils, I choose several area, that will show how wide spread this no dog attitude goes I fear it’s all over except for a handful of councils that will try and help those with an Animal and not just dogs but cats as well.
The more I think of this Injustice the more, I realise this is not a matter that will be fixed out by our bureaucratic government we need to send a message to them all of them, this has to be a vote of the people nothing else will do.
So I have to get out there, I have to visit every city, town, village and hamlets with in England, and do it in the next 11 months then release the partition to all up and down England, and I hope people vote like it was a general election by sheer volume of signatures on the Partition.
We can make them realize there is a fundamental flaw on how we as a nation not only how we care for our companions but also present laws do not do enough to protect our companions in Crisis and this alone must be addressed no more dogs, cats having to go into re-homing centres if the animal can prove it’s not a problem for temp accommodation.
This work has been due to all of your help, your wisdom, and knowledge plus the help with the financial side of it means I can carry on with the work without the worry of having to scrimp and scrap to make ends meet. Your continued assistance is not only greatly welcomed but makes the work continues from day to day.
If you can support us I would be so greatful, there is still a great deal to do, with the CCC going on the road in the new year, I know money is scarce for everyone, its just a sad state of affairs for everyone in England having to tighten our belts, but if you can no matter how little it all helps keep our voices high and heard across the land, and as we go from city to town to village there be even more support, just waiting to be told of how little our government think of our Companions.
If you help us finacially please find us on GoFundMe and paypal @ [email protected], you can also contact me for more details and lttle flyers if you want to make some up and pass them around your friends and relatives the more people who know about us the more stronger will the voice be.
Thank you all and have a happy new year.
Constant Canine Companions.

NIt's been a while... Since I last wrote here a lot of confusion a lot of anger and some at times a harsh reality what we will do to endure, life's curved ball... Disclosure of what who knows only God? There's been times my whole life felt meaningless
A journey begins in chaos, but it has a light... A blessing in the form of a Dog all the way from Tibet a graceful creature, but so full of mischief and cunning, that are a lesson in Love unconditionally, if we but take time to ponder, and yet these same dogs, cats, all that could be classed as Pet know well the pain we feel when parted from our loved ones. My dog is my child and as such deserves the same protection as I do.
All animals for proper assessment for temporary accommodation, there are many many people who have both well behaved and obedient should stay with the companion family at all costs no more discrimination of an other separate life form.. To us it's our loved one and I want your to help him or her as well.
My dog poses no threat to anyone simply be cause I have with trainers learned to handle my kid with both grace and excellent manners.
There needs to be a registration of animals that have been trained in obedience classes old archaic rules do not apply we are an evolving species we need to show compassion and wisdom, when dealing with our animals all domestic should have the chance to be safe in times of disaster and homelessness have the same rights as a human and should be treated as such with in reason.
Shops must open doors to dogs that are in the Constant canine companions dogs trained to bronze silver and gold standard post no threat to human and a dog can be muzzled in a homeless hotel or B&B, and help keep the rescues re homing free for those that need it, keep the pet with the family.
To landlords all I can say is you are losing an opera try to increase your growth by not letting some residents have a beloved no problem pet your missing a market... Just saying. There are a lot of homeless with dogs, simply because you will not trust your heart do your self a favour and look up puppy farms, rehoming and Pounds for Poundies, the end of the life if your lucky not for the want of trying and have a real cool name Lexy Fleeming, her passion really moved me, and I might need to talk to Richard Branson soon.

Thank you for the support this year, in our darkness times there a hand and a paw there helping us angles in the form of dogs, cats and good friends..
if I was to mention anyone it be all of you, but some have not only stood by me but helped me in ways I am eternally grateful for and its to them I own so much, for once I see a light now its time to grab it by both hands and strangle it no no sorry re-phrase it, Obi was just naughty there he got me little monkey. Least they say when your pa sense of humour your half way there, but there was times when the most difficult decisions have to be made and one I hope never happens again to us or to anyone in my predicament. which to me was both unfair and unjust, and I think when the world knows how the government and not just ours all of them, treat animals our pets our children with fur, hair, scales as a by product this is no longer acceptable in an age where we as humans must think outside of our own petty differences and treat an animal that has stood by us in war, disaster and rescue. as equals. and have the same protection we take for granted. And the law should reflect this any crime committed against an animal should be dealt with as harshly as if it were a human victim. A safe registration for dogs that are to be treated as a member of the family, under the umbrella of constant canine companions which would guarantee dogs that can and should be part of the family life in shopping, holidays and shelter namely Homeless shelters all animals should be assessed for temporary accommodation, this should applies to all animals classed as pets. Now for the letters from councils pages of horrible, and not very helpful information concerning our four legged friends, If you can bear reading the documents you will notice that, all are saying the exact same thing and the Freedom of information Act 2000 which only cover's dogs that are trained to do a job, blind, hearing and companions for mental and physical health. This is not acceptable now. Yearly we spend billions on our dogs, can you imagination how much you pay in tax, which go into the pocket of the government and yet when faced with homelessness the government could not give a damn. Do you think this this is a fair treatment of your beloved dog? I have started a GoFundMe campaign which is doing very well and has nearly reached the 100 pound mark, only 5 pounds to go. We have been doing a good deal of being on the street and getting the word out and making new friends and supporters on board. You can find us on Facebook, and here of course and please if you can go visit and donate at GoFundMe, its time for a change in the law please tell your friends about the CCC. |

Alan Adams room 38
3-5 Percival Terrace Kemptown Brighton. BN21FA. Tel 07763041034 Email [email protected] Constant canine Companions Facebook www.constantcaninecompanions.weebly.com 15th December 15 Dear Mrs Lucas, I have been encouraged to contact you by many of my friends who feel your are a champion for animal and human rights, to what I have read about you I would agree with this, so I hope you don’t mind me taking up some of your time to ask for your advice. My name is Alan Adams I have a constant canine companion and assistance medical dog called Oberon we been through a lot in this last year namely homelessness and there was no need for it, all because I could not afford a jacket for my dog sixty pounds to prove he was a service dog. We spent weeks just over weeks living in a tent in the East Whitehawk park, during Feb and March of this year, I am sure you are aware of who bad it was then the rain, I got pneumonia but as luck would have it I had a meeting with the council who pushed the matter with some grubby hotel in Eastbourne. I have started a group and campaign that wants to push for an assessment for an animal to be with its family during a crisis, its not fair that a animal and companion should be split up due to no fault of their own, this no dog attitude is as bad as no blacks no Irish and the last one on that horrible picture is no dogs. I am pushing for an e-petition to tackle this, a vast majority of dogs are trained be it obedience, working and general good handling on the part of the companion family, with all this work we do for our animals we grow so attached they become family just a pity most councils don’t feel the same as most of the public do. I have 1000s of followers who agree something needs to be done. I have a table outside the Theatre Royal in Brighton please pop by and say hi sometime to see what we are doing and I be so grateful if you can help by word or wisdom, I plan to take a solo march to London next Saturday, and see what cages I can rattle Yours faithfully Alan n Obi Adams |
November 2015
Daddy is on full steam now and knows what he doing well that what he says, but he has been sending lots of emails to all the local and county councils in England about there policy's on the homeless and those with Animals Dogs and cats. So far its not very positive as if the government don't like the populace to be happy.
I have started a fund me campaign and will be turning our attention to all the hotels that house the homeless and yet big posh hotels allow animals, this is a double standard that has to be addressed as soon as possible.
November 29th
The letter below is from Harlow Council, the thing about this is this looks the same as the one sent from Devon, Hert's Honer several other local councils. it makes my job much harder but I feel justified in doing this, we need to give our four legged friends the recognition the government would give them credit. .

We went to a fish & chip shop with aunty Jenni and I had sausages... I was very well behaved... I walked into the chip shop and no one asked me to leave!!! So Far my jacket is a huge success! Stay tuned to see where else I can go.... the world is my oyster... or sausage? love Oberon |

Me and my dad when we were living on the streets of Brighton and Eastbourne.
My dad is diabetic and I am his companion dog... we had to protest and sleep on the streets for just over 3 weeks before, the council would find us accommodation together. And even then it was not over only a couple of months later we were threatened with homelessness again, simply because my daddy could not afford a Jacket for me, it was then the butterfly came. |
PERILOUS TIMES AHEAD...
We were lucky enough to find a shelter in a hotel but then disaster struck! we were told we would have to leave unless we could prove that I was an official companion dog to my dad! What could we do? The hotel told us we had to provide a registration certificate and a jacket which would cost us £60.00... we didn't have £60... we reached out to our friends on the internet and a miracle happened! My dad is a member of a facebook group called 'Tibetan Terriers'; they saw my plighted and pledged to help us. They raised over £1000 to help look after me I visited a groomer for a bath and brush - I feel lovely and silky I visited a vet for an update on my vaccinations - I don't want to get poorly! I have had my microchip updated and registered to my daddy properly I have the jacket and registration certificates to allow me to stay with my daddy I also have lots of gift cards for pet shops so I can have regular proper food They also helped daddy with this website and to contact the newspaper to help bring attention to our cause!!! Who knew that with a little love our lives could change! |
